About River Bend Beer Festival
How does the Beer Festival Work?
The Beer Festival will have many of Virginia’s best brewers on site ready to sample you with several of their brews. Your entrance fee allows you to fifteen (15) two and one half ounce (2.5 oz) tastings. A commemorative tasting glass is provided. Also on site will be food availble for purchase. Food purchased from these vendors is an additional cost. Musical entertainment is provided for your enjoyment.
How long does the Beer Festival last?
The Festival opens at 2:00 p.m. Attendees will be admitted at 145 p.m. but no samples will be poured until 2:00. Last call for sample pours is 6:30 p.m. All patrons are asked to vacate the grounds by 7:00 p.m. Two (2) to Three (3) hours is plenty of time to enjoy your allotted tastings though you are invited to stay longer.
Who can attend the Beer Festival?
Attendees must be 21 years of age or older and have a valid picture ID. No children or pets are allowed. Our Beer Festival will be very will staffed with security and Identification will be checked not only for age but validity. Tickets are non-refundable.
What should I do to best enjoy a Beer Festival?
Take tiny sips and savor! Beer is a craft much like wine and some would argue maybe even more complex. We encourage our attendees to enjoy what is offered and you can only do that by tasting slowly. Plenty of water is advised. It not only cleanses your pallet between beers but will keep you hydrated. You are encouraged to eat. Eat when you first get there so you are not putting good beer into an empty stomach. Do not drink too much! Too much alcohol consumption distracts from the atmosphere we desire to have at the River Bend Beer Festival and does not permit you to enjoy the fruits of all the hard effort our Brewers have put into their product.
What is allowed or not allowed in the Festival?
Feel free to bring a lawn or portable chair into the Festival. No coolers, bags, food or beverages will be permited inside. We reserve the right to inspect packages that could conceal these items.
